Iowa MMJ led a first-of-its-kind, community-led civic engagement campaign to support naturalized citizens, many of whom were first-time voters. Iowa MMJ's leaders are building a movement of political power across the state. Staff and volunteers knocked on doors, phone-banked, helped people understand their rights as voters, and accompanied voters as they exercised their right to vote. As we look forward, newly elected leaders across Iowa must work to deliver the change that voters have demanded.
