Press Release: May Day 2026, “Workers’ Rights are Immigrant Rights!”
Our immigrants are essential to our communities, our economy, and our labor movement. When immigrant workers are exploited, all workers are impacted. Iowans know that our communities are safer, healthier, and more prosperous when we all have the resources we need to thrive.
On May 1st at 3 pm at Greys Lake, Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice, the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, League of United Latin American Citizens LULAC Iowa, South Central Iowa Federation of Labor AFL-CIO, Iowa Farmers Union, Iowa Food System Coalition, and Party for Socialism and Liberation Iowa came together for a rally to say:
